Flow indicator

To visualize the flow circulating in a pipe

A flow indicator or flow monitor allows to visually observe the passage of a fluid. It is therefore equipped with a transparent window or a transparent tube to visualize the flowing fluid.

In the case of transparent fluids, it is also equipped with fins that can be seen rotating in the presence of a flow.

Existing versions :

  • monobloc, machined from a square barstock, very resistant, for demanding applications (no weldings), with or without moving flapper
  • flanged window, with a rotating paddle-wheel
  • transparent tube, without flapper nor rotating paddle-wheel

It can be used for all types of fluids and has a very long lifetime.

Why can a visual flow indicator be equipped with fins?

The fins are used to correctly visualize the passage of a flow, even when the fluid is transparent (water for example). Some devices are equipped with a colored ball that has the same function as the fins.
