SITUATION

Nuclear power plants (NPPs) have great needs for piping accessories; thanks to our flexible capabilities in mechanical production and in welded assemblies, we are able to meet all your needs in this area.

To date, we have manufactured for all French NPPs: condensation pots, special flanges, restriction orifices (KD), spectacle blinds, orifice plates (DI)...

EXAMPLE OF NEED

How exactly does a KD or multi-stage restriction orifice work ?

A NPP asked us for a solution to train their on-site installers or workers. In fact, they did not really know how these devices work or the risks associated with an incorrect assembly.

We therefore designed and developed a cross-sectional demontration model with a technical booklet for training. It can also be mounted on a piping model.

Thus, our customers can easily train their internal teams, and improve the skills of on-site fitters and workers and reduce assembly errors during scheduled shutdowns.

These models are delivered with a technical product presentation file which details:

  • applicable standards,
  • the risks linked to specific phenomena such as cavitation, flashing, critical regime, noise level... and corresponding solutions

  • the different types of existing restriction orifices: simple, multi-orifice or multi-stage
  • the mounting and orientation of the device on the pipe
  • examples of problem solving
